Our Story

Established from a life-long passion for textiles, pattern and colour, Anna Spiro Textiles is the collaboration of acclaimed Interior Designer Anna Spiro and her brother Sam Spiro who specialises in business operations. Made exclusively by hand in Australia, our collections are first illustrated and then screen-printed by hand or digitally printed onto fine Belgian Linen.

Anna Spiro

Anna Spiro has been working as an Interior Decorator since her early 20’s. Her distinguished style and approach has accelerated most recently onto the world stage with her design of the much-talked-about boutique hotel, Halcyon House. Praised for her awe-inspiring ability to mix interesting patterned fabrics, antique furniture and art, Anna has worked tirelessly throughout her illustrious career creating beautiful homes and spaces for her client’s Australia-wide. In 2014 Anna published her first book, Absolutely Beautiful Things with Penguin. The book has become a source of inspiration for readers and admirers of Anna’s unique style throughout the world. Anna’s passion for beautiful fabrics and her life-long dream to create her own fabric collection has finally come to fruition with the formation of Anna Spiro Textiles.

Sam Spiro

Sam Spiro has worked in the private development consulting sector for over 9 years and holds a Bachelor Degree in Regional and Town Planning from the University of Queensland. His extensive knowledge and experience in project management and business acumen gives Anna Spiro Textiles a leading edge in its operations performance. Sam manages all of the production and operations of Anna Spiro Textiles and our National and International sales and distribution.

Produced entirely in Australia, all of our collections are carefully constructed and screen-printed by hand or digitally printed on Belgian linen. The fabrics work beautifully on their own or even more successfully when mixed and matched on sofas, armchairs, curtains, cushions and lampshades in Spiro’s inimitable eclectic style.

Featuring 9 patterns in various colourways in both fabric and wallpaper, this collection is our largest yet. We have used a mix of hand-screen printing and digital printing for the fabrics to create a diverse range of patterns and colours. Also launching is our very first plain upholstery weight fabric. Pixie Plain is a woven fabric made using recycled fibres and works back with all our collections.
